What to expect from Dusklamp.

Dusklamp watches public sources for you and emails you when something changes. These are the ground rules, in plain words. How we handle your information is on the Privacy page.

Best effort

Dusklamp is a young service, run on a best-effort basis. We try to check every watch each day, but a check can fail or run late, and we can miss a change. Do not rely on it for anything where a missed or late alert could hurt you.

Briefs can be wrong

Software writes your brief from public sources: web pages, feeds, search results and public data. Software makes mistakes, and sources can be wrong, out of date or unreadable. An unreadable source is a gap in coverage, not proof that nothing changed. Check the linked source before you act on anything.

Not advice

Nothing on this site, in an email or in a brief is financial, legal, medical or safety advice. A price, a stock, a rule, a recall or a news story is information, not a recommendation. For a decision that matters, read the original source or ask a professional.

Your private link

Your watch has a private link instead of a password. Anyone who has it can open your page and change its alert settings, so keep it to yourself and share it only with people you want to have access. If you think it has got out, write to us.

We can stop a watch

We can change or end a watch, or the service, at any time. You can stop yours at any time too; the Privacy page says how.
